2. About the app
Inventra is a tool for businesses to record the inventory of buildings and flats (e.g. as part of a damage assessment) room by room, photograph it and document it as a PDF report. The app is used by employees of the deploying company.
No account, no own server: Inventra does not require registration. All recorded inventory data is stored exclusively on the device. We as the provider have no access to this data. Only for the optional AI image recognition and the address search are individual data transmitted to the services listed below.
The company deploying the app is responsible for personal data of third parties recorded in the app (e.g. name of the injured party or owner, property address, claim number). Data subjects should contact that company regarding this data.
3. What data is processed
| Data category | Description / storage location | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Property data | Property name, address, client, name of the injured party/owner, claim number – stored locally on the device only | Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR |
| Inventory data | Rooms, items, category, quantity, condition, notes – stored locally on the device only | Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR |
| Photos | Photos of items taken with the camera or selected from the gallery – stored locally in reduced size; transmitted to Anthropic for image recognition (see section 4) | Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR |
| Location data | Precise GPS location, only once when tapping “Use current address” – not stored; only the resulting address is kept | Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) |
| Address input | Typed address text for address suggestions – transmitted to Google (see section 5) | Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR |
| Signatures | Handwritten on-screen signature of the injured party and the employee – only embedded in the generated PDF report, not stored in the app | Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR |
| Employee name | Name of the recording employee for the report – stored locally so it does not have to be re-entered every time | Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR |
| App settings | Selected app language – stored locally | Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR |
Inventra uses no analytics or tracking tools, no advertising, no crash reporting and no advertising IDs. No user profiles are created.
4. AI image recognition (Anthropic Claude)
So that items do not have to be described manually, the app suggests name, category, quantity, condition and notes based on the photo. For this purpose, the respective photo is transmitted in encrypted form, after it is taken or when tapping “Recognise”, to the Claude API of:
Anthropic PBC548 Market Street, PMB 90375 · San Francisco, CA 94104 · USA
- Only the photo and the selected app language are transmitted – no property data, names, addresses or device identifiers.
- Anthropic does not use content submitted via the API to train its AI models and retains it only for a limited period, e.g. for abuse detection, in accordance with its commercial terms ↗.
- The AI suggestions are only filled into the form and can be changed before saving.
- Please photograph only items – no people, ID cards or documents containing personal data.
5. Location and address search (Google Maps Platform)
The app offers two aids for filling in the property address. Both are optional; the address can always be entered manually.
- Address suggestions: From three typed characters on, the input text is sent to the Google Places API to suggest matching addresses.
- Current address: Only when you actively tap this and have granted the location permission does the app determine the GPS location once and send the coordinates to the Google Geocoding API to determine the address. If this is not possible, the device’s geocoding service (on Android usually also provided by Google) is used.
- The location is not collected in the background and not stored; only the address is saved as text.
Provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Irland · Google Privacy ↗
6. PDF report and sharing
The inventory report is generated on the device as a PDF and contains property data, inventory list, photos, names and signatures. Via the operating system’s share menu you choose yourself to whom and through which app (e.g. email) the report is sent. Further processing by the chosen app and the recipient is subject to their privacy policies. Inventra itself does not send any reports.
7. Permissions
- Camera – to photograph items.
- Photos / gallery – to select existing photos. The app only gets access to the images you select.
- Location (precise and approximate) – only for the “Use current address” function, only while in use.
- Internet – for image recognition and address search.
Permissions can be revoked at any time in the system settings. The app remains usable; the respective function is then no longer available.
8. Recipients and transfers to third countries
We do not sell or rent any data. The only recipients are:
- Anthropic PBC (USA) – photos for image recognition.
- Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC – address input and location coordinates for address lookup.
- Recipients of the PDF report you choose via the share menu.
Data may be transferred to the USA in this context. The transfer is based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, insofar as the provider is certified, and otherwise on EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR). With every connection, the device’s IP address is technically transmitted to the respective provider.
9. Storage duration and deletion
- Inventory data and photos: until you delete the property, room or item in the app. Associated photos are deleted as well.
- PDF reports: are only stored in the app’s temporary storage and are cleaned up automatically by the operating system.
- Signatures and location: are not stored by the app.
- At Anthropic and Google: in accordance with their terms, only as long as required for processing and legal obligations.
- Uninstalling the app or clearing the app data in the system settings completely removes all locally stored data.
No device backup: Inventra excludes its data from Android cloud backup and from transfer to a new device. The recorded data therefore only leaves the device via the functions described above.
10. Your rights
- Access (Art. 15 DSGVO)
- Rectification (Art. 16 DSGVO)
- Erasure (Art. 17 DSGVO)
- Restriction (Art. 18 DSGVO)
- Data portability (Art. 20 DSGVO)
- Objection (Art. 21 DSGVO)
- Withdrawal of consent – e.g. by revoking the location permission in the system settings.
As we have no access to the locally stored data, it can only be viewed, corrected or deleted directly on the device or via the deploying company. Contact: treichellabs.app@gmail.com

11. Data security
- All transmissions to Anthropic and Google are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.
- Local data resides in the app’s private storage and is protected from access by other apps by the operating system’s security model.
- Photos are reduced in size before storage and transmission (data minimisation).
- We recommend protecting the device with a screen lock.
12. Children
Inventra is an application for professional use and is not directed at children under 16.
13. Changes
We reserve the right to update this privacy policy if the app or legal requirements change. The current version is always available at /datenschutz/inventra.
